Rev. Gary Clore is the Director of the Global Methodist Church's endorsing ministries. He is the
author of Sanctification and Christian Ministry and The Chaplain as a Moral Guide in The Heart
of a Chaplain. He was a Fellow of the National Conference on Ministry to the Armed Forces
(NCMAF) before being selected as an endorser for the Global Methodist Church.
After serving as a pastor for 10 years in Columbus, Ohio, and spending three years as a
chaplain in the Navy Reserves, he began a 28-year active-duty career as a Navy chaplain in
1992, retiring in 2020 with the rank of Captain.
He received the 2018 John L. Craven Servant Leadership Award from the US Navy Chaplain
Corps for his career in servant leadership. Rev. Clore holds BA and MCM degrees from
Huntington University, MDiv from Trinity Lutheran Seminary, ThM from Jesuit School of
Theology at Berkeley, and DMin from Fuller Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Debra, live
in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
