Affairs Chaplain Endorser for the Assemblies of God
Jim and his wife, Sue, live in Springfield, Missouri. Jim is the Military and Veterans
Affairs Chaplain Endorser for the Assemblies of God. He was ordained in 1991, the
same year he began his 28-year career as a U.S. Navy chaplain. Jim’s service included
combat tours in Bosnia, Kosovo, Kuwait, and Iraq. He retired in 2019 and holds a B.A.
in Religion from Rhodes College and an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary.
Jim also has a subspecialty in healthcare chaplaincy and served as the Navy Chaplain
Corps’ Director for Chaplaincy Research from 2015 to 2018.
